About Us

Dr Rita Singh is both the owner and general practitioner of Dr Rita Singh’s Family Practice. She is the sole GP at the practice, working as one of the few single GP medical centres in Newcastle. Dr Singh has more than 20 years experience in the Mayfield area, with a special focus in mental health and family welfare. This experience has helped her build a high reputation among the community and respect from both fellow doctors and patients.

She has humbly dedicated herself to treating all individuals of the Mayfield community, including the elderly and those from low socioeconomic status. Dr Singh regularly visits the nursing home in the area, providing constant care to vulnerable members of the community. She is also one of the very few doctors still bulk billing and takes great pride in her initiative to assist the underprivileged. Dr Singh always places her patients and their best interests first and foremost, making her a valued member of the community.

Dr Singh has decades of experience in a vast variety of medical fields and environments, including hospitals across the NSW region, the United States and Asia. Despite this, she still continues to update her professional skills and qualifications so that she is able to be the best doctor to her patients. Dr Singh is highly committed to the health and wellbeing of her patients and regularly proves that she wants nothing but the best for them.
